Dog Door

One of the things preventing us from moving Heather's dog into our house was the fact that we didn't have a dog door.  Heather didn't want to be alone while I was in Chicago for business, so I installed a dog door and she was able to bring Tally over.  I had to install the door in a wall because all of the doors going into the backyard are sliding glass doors, and I didn't want to install one of those dog door panels for sliding glass doors.  I used a utility knife and a jigsaw blade in conjunction with a pair of vise grips to cut the hole in the interior wall.  To cut the outside wall, I used my jig saw.  I also got a new tool out of this project when the battery on my cordless drill died and I bought a corded drill to complete the job.  In the last picture you can see the exterior outlet that I had to raise about five inches.
