Heather and I are now officially new homeowners.  After a lot of running around and placing many phone calls yesterday I was able to get everything sorted out and our house was purchased.  We were able to get the seller to pay for a professional carpet cleaning and de-odorizing as well as pay for the last item they did not fix per their agreement.  Now we are picking out paints, doing a bit of re-modeling, and fixing problems with the house.  I will try and take some before and after pictures so everyone can see all our hard work.  Heather is taking off Thursday and Friday, and both of us have Monday off as a holiday.  Also, this Friday is my day off from work because I work a nine-hour day and get every other Friday off.  So Heather has a five-day weekend and I have a four-day weekend.  This will definitely help us get all of the work done that we have planned.  We have the moving van reserved for next weekend, so hopefully we can get all we want done prior to moving in.  We also need to buy a washer and dryer as well as additional furniture.  Lots of changes in our lives, I'll keep you posted.
